Sales Engineer

Territory Sales Manager - Chicagoland

As a Territory Sales Manager - Chicagoland, your mission is to drive sales growth for our business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

You will:

• Engage in face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers.
• Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
• Deliver sales presentations and conduct product demonstrations.
• Develop medium to long-term sales plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with your targeted customers.
• Ensure successful implementation of sales strategies by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs

To succeed, you will need:

• Degree Level A four-year degree in business, marketing, or engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of three years of relevant industrial sales experience is required, preferably within the vacuum industry.

• Knowledge Areas: - Understanding the principles of value-based selling in the equipment business - Strong technical knowledge and the ability to quickly adapt to new products and technological developments - Experience working in an industrial environment, ideally with an engineering background - Clear understanding of effective territory management - Proficient sales techniques and skills

• Critical Skills: - Demonstrate courage and integrity - Exhibit strong commitment to customer satisfaction - Drive to achieve results - Ability to manage pressure and setbacks while continuously developing - Strong interest in market trends and competitive landscape - Proactive attitude and openness to new ideas - Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Business Line Manager, and other sales engineers - Build and maintain relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders - Communicate persuasively - Awareness and control of body language

• Other Requirements: - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills - Confidence in engaging with end customers - Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 10% local travel and up to 50% overnight travel) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel - Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
