Pharmacist Position

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist for an onsite contract position at a compounding pharmacy in Washington, NC. You will use clinical expertise to ensure safe and accurate distribution and compounding of medications, supervise pharmacy staff, maintain inventory and patient records, counsel patients on medication use and device handling, and collaborate with prescribers and care teams. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree and state licensure are required. Accept and dispense prescriptions, prepare sterile solutions, and provide patient services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure screening.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Current North Carolina pharmacist license required.
• Experience compounding medications, including sterile preparation.
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff such as pharmacy technicians and clerks.
• Experience maintaining pharmacy inventory and controlled substance compliance with state and federal law.
• Experience counseling patients on medications, device use, and monitoring for drug interactions.
• Experience documenting and maintaining confidential patient records.
• Pharmacy practice experience in a compounding pharmacy or retail/clinic setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months or more of pharmacist experience preferred.
• Experience providing point-of-care services such as blood pressure screening, cholesterol management, or smoking cessation counseling preferred.
