Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Location: Winchester, KY | Industry: Biodegradable Plastics Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Dental insurance Free uniforms Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Wellness resources Responsibilities Diagnose and repair equipment such as motors, pumps, valve manifolds, chillers, compressors, HVAC, boilers, and other process equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance; complete PM records and system logs. Support sustainable operations and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability. Maintain a cGMP‑compliant workspace and uphold all safety protocols. Perform hands‑on tasks such as rebuilding pump seals, centrifuges, and pellet mills. Follow LOTO procedures for all maintenance work. Train and mentor new maintenance technicians. Participate in validation, qualification, and housekeeping audits. Consistently follow and uphold all company maintenance policies and procedures. Elevate over 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, and climb ladders or stairs as required. Wear required PPE and operate safely around noise, dust, and mechanical systems. Hear alarms and distinguish speech in a production environment. Maintain good near, distance, and peripheral vision necessary to complete tasks safely. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing experience. Mechanically inclined and detail oriented. Knowledge of LOTO and cGMP (preferred). Strong time‑management, problem‑solving, and communication skills. High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and CMMS systems. Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (days and nights), including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Some travel between Danimer sites may be required for training. Shift & Environment Full‑time; 10–12‑hour shifts (day or night). Approx. every other weekend off. Frequent exposure to hot/cold temperatures, airborne particles, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts. Some desk‑based tasks in a shared, air‑conditioned maintenance office.
