As an experienced CNC technician, you’ll be the person our team relies on to turn ideas into dimensionally perfect parts. From the first coffee-fueled program tweak to the final inspection, you’ll keep our lathes and mills humming and our standards high.
A day in the lifeYou arrive at our Oxford, NC facility, review the day’s work orders and prints, and translate requirements into efficient G/M-code. You set up tooling, dial in offsets, and validate the first-off piece. Throughout the shift, you monitor cycle performance, make smart adjustments for quality, collaborate with engineering on process improvements, and capture production data. Preventive maintenance and quick troubleshooting keep downtime at bay, while a clean, organized workstation keeps you—and everyone else—safe.
You will- Set up and run CNC lathes and mills to meet exact specifications and tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide accurate machining.
- Track machine performance, adjusting feeds, speeds, and offsets to uphold quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Partner with engineering and production to refine and optimize machining processes.
- Record production data and maintain complete, accurate documentation.
- Follow safety practices and maintain a tidy, well-organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNC machining certification preferred.
- 3+ years in a CNC technician, machinist, or closely related role.
- Command of G-code/M-code and proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
- Solid knowledge of machining methods, tooling selection, and materials.
- Keen problem-solving ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
