Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility located in the metropolitan area. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a progressive care environment, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple units as needed, including Med/Surg Intermediate and other Hospital departments. Job Details: Certifications: BLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred Education Requirements: Valid Missouri or Compact Nurse License Experience: 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting required; 1-2 years of specific pediatric, trauma, or stepdown experience preferred Location Requirements: Candidates must have a valid Nurse license for Missouri or a valid Compact license Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Position Responsibilities: Providing patient care for adult and geriatric patients, including assessments, medication administration, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and responding to emergencies such as strokes, sepsis, and renal failure. Floating between units and facilities may be required, with coverage for weekend shifts and holidays as per unit needs. Additional Information: Virtual nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell. Candidates must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs, including between multiple units and Metro campuses. Must have at least 75 miles from the facility if local. Submission requires current BLS and NIHSS certifications, Missouri or Compact License, and compliance documents submitted two Fridays before start date.
