Dynamic Logistics & Brokerage Coordinator

Givens Logistics is looking for a detail‑oriented, competitive, and driven Logistics/Brokerage Coordinator to join our brokerage team. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple shipments at once, communicate professionally with customers and carriers, negotiate rates, and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment. The right candidate will be sharp, dependable, and comfortable making decisions under pressure. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows up without being asked, and understands that small details can create big problems in transportation. Location: Chesapeake, VA Job Id: 272 # of Openings: 1 Schedule: Full‑Time, 8am-5pm Salary: $52k ‑ $68k yearly, based on experience Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipments from pickup through delivery Negotiate rates with carriers and support pricing conversations with customers Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams Track shipments, resolve issues, and provide timely updates Enter load details, shipment notes, billing information, and carrier updates into the TMS Assist with carrier setup, documentation, and compliance follow‑up Support account managers, billing, collections, and operations as needed Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving logistics environment Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and follow‑through Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills Competitive mindset and ability to work under pressure Organized, reliable, and comfortable multitasking Experience in logistics, trucking, brokerage, dispatch, customer service, or operations preferred McLeod / PowerBroker experience is a plus, but not required Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Former student‑athletes are encouraged to apply Comfortable using Excel, email, TMS systems, and other technology platforms What We’re Looking For We want someone who can think ahead, catch mistakes before they become problems, and communicate clearly with both customers and carriers.
