Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages, supporting the department's operational efficiency and ensuring high-quality patient care. Utilizes specialized training in sonography to deliver accurate imaging results and patient assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive ultrasound scans for various clinical indications using GE ultrasound equipment.
• Interpret and analyze ultrasound images to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Adhere to established protocols and safety standards, including immunization and credentialing requirements.
• Collaborate with department staff to coordinate scheduling, patient preparation, and documentation.
• Perform departmental clerical duties as needed, including record-keeping and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent; ARDMS registration preferred.
• Minimum of two years post-graduation sonography experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.
• Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN required; multiple specialties preferred.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Proficiency in GE ultrasound systems; Trophon experience is a plus.
• Ability to meet immunization and credentialing requirements, including immunizations and background checks.
