We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and development of a cloud-based research computing platform.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical product management experience with hands-on cloud infrastructure knowledge . This position will work closely with cloud engineering, architecture, security, data, researchers, and business stakeholders to build a scalable, secure, and user-focused enterprise platform.

Candidates with only Project Management or Program Management experience will not be considered.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of technical Product Management experience .

• At least 4 years of experience working directly with cloud infrastructure in a product or engineering capacity.

• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP .

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, including:

  • Compute

  • Storage

  • Networking

  • Security

  • Containers

  • Orchestration

• Hands-on experience with cloud-based system design .

• Strong understanding of platform engineering principles, including:

  • CI/CD

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Observability

  • Monitoring

• Understanding of modern AI-based development workflows .

• Proven experience delivering successful enterprise or R&D-focused products from conception through launch .

• Experience working with security and compliance teams on:

  • Data governance

  • Access controls

  • Risk reviews

  • Security requirements

• Strong cross-functional experience working with engineering, security, data, business, and end-user stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and roadmaps for enterprise platforms .

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and executive audiences.

• Experience with academic or research-based workflows is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product strategy, vision, and roadmap for a cloud-based research computing platform.

• Partner with researchers to gather requirements and translate user needs into product specifications and priorities.

• Identify user pain points across different use cases and drive product prioritization.

• Collaborate with architecture, cloud engineering, enterprise data, security, and platform delivery teams.

• Ensure solutions meet business and researcher needs while maintaining appropriate security and data governance.

• Lead product discovery, user research, journey mapping, and workflow design.

• Establish clear product priorities and maintain alignment across cross-functional teams.

• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability and strategy.

• Define product success metrics and use product analytics and user feedback to continuously improve the platform.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear, consistent updates.

• Communicate product vision, progress, priorities, risks, and trade-offs to technical and executive stakeholders.

• Drive accountability and timely delivery across multiple teams.
