Travel NICU RN - Thomasville, NC

This assignment offers hands-on NICU experience at an esteemed academic medical center, providing exposure to advanced patient care techniques, multidisciplinary collaboration, and leadership approaches unique to a Level I Trauma and Teaching facility. With a diverse patient population-ranging from micro-preemies to post-surgical neonates-you'll be challenged and supported as you further strengthen your expertise.


Schedule/Hours:

• Night Shift: 7p-7a
• Rotating weekends (every other)
• Holiday coverage (75% of major holidays)
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
• No call requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Proficient in:
  • Basic ventilator support
  • Central line and trach management
  • Pre/post-surgical neonatal care
  • Feeding support (breast/bottle/gavage)
  • Blood transfusions and venous access in infants

Daily Responsibilities:

• Care for a diverse NICU population, including surgical and micro-preemie infants
• Manage high-acuity neonatal cases, including respiratory and surgical needs
• Effectively collaborate with a robust support team (NAs, Charge RNs, interdisciplinary partners)
• Float to related pediatric units as needed
• Document using EPIC EMR
• Maintain safety and best practices, upholding the traditions of a leading teaching hospital
