LA Bone & Joint Institute (LABJI) is a physician-led, multidisciplinary orthopedic and musculoskeletal group serving patients throughout Southern California. Our organization brings together fellowship-trained and board-certified physicians across Spine, Sports Medicine, Shoulder & Elbow, Hand & Upper Extremity, Hip, Knee, Foot & Ankle, and Interventional Pain Management.

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Medicine physician to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

This position offers an established orthopedic referral environment with the opportunity to work closely with surgeons and specialists across the full spectrum of musculoskeletal care.

The physician will evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic spine and musculoskeletal pain, developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with an emphasis on nonoperative and interventional care.

Responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive evaluation and management of pain patients
• Diagnosis and treatment of spine and musculoskeletal conditions
• Development of individualized treatment plans
• Performance of image-guided interventional procedures
• Collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and other subspecialists
• Patient education and longitudinal management
• Participation in the growth and development of LABJI's Interventional Pain program
• Maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation

Interventional Procedures

Experience with the following procedures is preferred:

• Transforaminal and interlaminar epidural injections
• Medial branch blocks
• Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
• Peripheral nerve blocks
• Peripheral joint injections
• Fluoroscopy-guided procedures
• Other advanced interventional pain techniques

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited residency
• Fellowship training in Pain Medicine / Interventional Pain Management
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
• Active California medical license or eligibility
• Active DEA registration
• Strong clinical and procedural skills
• Experience with fluoroscopy-guided spine and musculoskeletal procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary physician group
