Psychiatric Registered Nurse - Adolescent Unit

Location: Westbrook, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Unit. The ideal candidate will have a background in acute inpatient adolescent psychiatric care. As a Psych RN, you will play a critical role in the management and support of our young patients facing various mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adolescents with acute psychiatric conditions.
• Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient behavior and response to treatment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of acute adult mental health experience is required.
• Current RN license is mandatory.
• Experience with patients exhibiting thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and mania preferred.
