Inventory Clerk / Pharmacy ClerkWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory / Pharmacy Clerk to support pharmacy and warehouse inventory operations at an OptumRx facility in Charlotte, NC. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate medication and supply inventory, supporting inventory audits, ensuring proper storage and handling of products, and maintaining compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines.The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.The Inventory and Supply Chain team consists of six team members who work collaboratively to support medication inventory management, distribution, compliance, and operational continuity.1 Supervisor – Oversees workload prioritization, discrepancy investigations, audits, and SOP compliance1 Inventory Specialist – Provides support and back-up to the Inventory Supervisor5 Inventory & Logistics Specialists – Responsible for daily inventory and logistics operationsKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate drug inventory and dispensing supplies at pharmacy workstations and overstock locationsPerform inventory management and putaway activities in accordance with established proceduresAssist with physical inventory audits and cycle-counting activitiesInspect inventory for damage, expiration, or other discrepanciesRemove expired or damaged products according to established proceduresInvestigate and assist with resolving inventory discrepanciesLoad and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficientlyMark, label, organize, and properly store inventory and suppliesFollow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulatory requirementsSupport pharmacy and warehouse operations as needed and assigned by pharmacy leadershipMaintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards while managing daily workloadMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentRequired Qualifications & SkillsPrevious warehouse, logistics, inventory, or production experience preferredAbility to lift and move items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, up to approximately 8 hours per shift with intermittent breaksStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent teamwork and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detail and time-management skillsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and various measurementsIntermediate proficiency with Windows-based computer applications and the ability to learn new systems and softwareAbility to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and regulatory requirementsReliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hoursFlexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as requiredPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a mail-order pharmacy or mail-order fulfillment environmentExperience with inventory management or supply chain operationsStrong computer and organizational skillsAbility to balance production and quality objectives in a high-volume environmentBasic healthcare or pharmacy knowledge
