Located in Evansville, IN Salary: $20-25/hr DOE Company Overview:We are a leading company in the plastics industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support our production operations and ensure equipment runs reliably and efficiently. Position Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a plastics manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with automation, robotics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Assist with installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or plastics industry
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Electrical maintenance experience required
- Experience with automation, robotics, and PLCs preferred
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various physical positions as needed
