MOROS CATERING LLC is looking for a talented and passionate Prep and Catering Cook to join our culinary team in beautiful Skaneateles, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your kitchen skills to a dynamic catering environment where no two days are the same. - Prepare and execute high-quality food items for catering events of varying sizes and styles
- Perform mise en place, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and prepping ingredients ahead of service
- Follow recipes, plating guides, and presentation standards consistently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up food for off-site catering events
- Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and communicate supply needs to kitchen leadership
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely and smooth event execution
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or food service environment preferred
- Knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling (ServSafe a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
