This attorney will represent owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and insurers in complex construction defect and construction-related disputes throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation skills, deep knowledge of Florida construction law, and the ability to manage matters from inception through resolution. Key ResponsibilitiesHandle construction defect matters involving residential, multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projectsRepresent clients in state and federal court litigation, arbitration, and mediationDraft and respond to construction defect notices, pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert reportsAnalyze construction contracts, plans, specifications, and related project documentationWork with industry experts, including engineers, architects, and contractorsConduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trialsAdvise clients on risk management, claim evaluation, and dispute resolution strategiesCollaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex, multi-party construction disputesAssist with client development and maintain strong client relationshipsQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Florida Bar (in good standing)2+ years of experience handling construction defect or construction litigation mattersStrong understanding of Florida construction defect statutes and related case lawExperience with expert-intensive litigation and technically complex mattersExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneouslyComfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentExperience representing developers, owners, contractors, design professionals, or insurersTrial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing experienceFamiliarity with condominium and homeowner association construction defect claimsBusiness development or client-facing experience
