Dental Assistant - Pediatric

End your workday by 3 or 4 pm or earlier every day! Looking for a Dental Assistant to work with our Pediatric Dentist and assist our hygienists with pediatric and special needs patients. Willing to train a medical assistant or surgical tech as long as they agree to earn their dental x-ray certification within 6 months of starting. The ideal candidate has a great personality, loves working with children of all ages and needs, and is a team player. Our practice is fast-paced with patients seen every half hour. The candidate will assist the dentist and the clinical staff, take initiative, seat patients, take x-rays, take clinical notes, explain treatment to parents, clean instruments, and perform other duties as assigned. They must be comfortable with digital imaging and charting; medical or dental charting experience preferred. The candidate will also manage dental supplies and organize the back office. The office hours are Monday 7:30‑2 (Twice a Month), Tuesday and Thursday 7:30‑4, Wednesday 10‑4, and Friday 7:30‑2. In the summer, we end our day at 3. We are willing to train the right candidate. Requirements Must be able to pass a background check X‑ray certification (willing to train) Intermediate computer skills Pediatric and special needs experience preferred Compensation and Benefits Pay is based on experience.
