I’m working with one of Tampa’s most respected law firms that is looking to add an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to its team. This position supports three Shareholders whose practices focus on commercial and business litigation, representing businesses, corporations, and individuals in both State and Federal Courts.

\n

\n

If you’re an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with 5+ years of litigation experience and looking for a great firm, a great team, and some flexibility in where you work, I’d love to hear from you.

Typical duties will include

\n

\n
• preparing, proofreading and finalizing pleadings, motions, orders and correspondence;
\n
• efiling with the courts both State and Federal (preferred)
\n
• being able to look up court dockets and knowing Judge’s preferences when sending documents;
\n
• scheduling meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations and trials;
\n
• entering Trial Orders and reminders in the calendar;
\n
• preparing notices; managing the calendar for court events, deadlines;
\n
• following up with your attorneys regarding upcoming hearings, meetings and deadlines;
\n
• communicating with all parties involved in a matter; via telephone, email and other forms of communication;
\n
• experience supporting 3 attorneys;
\n
• ability to consistently produce and deliver a good quality work product;
\n
• demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines;
\n
• organize, prioritize and implement tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
\n
• work proactively, independently and as part of a team;
\n
• provide and understand clear written and verbal communications;
\n
• maintain professional demeanor and a positive attitude with attorneys, colleagues, clients and vendors;
\n
• demonstrate proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Adobe and Client Management systems;
\n
• managing and profiling emails, documents and files, opening files, closing files, submitting attorney expense reports, submitting vendor invoices for payment and other legal assistant duties
