Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Huntington Beach, CA. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, verifying pricing and quantities, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies. Daily tasks include reconciling statements, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, coding expenses to appropriate accounts, and preparing journal entries related to payables. The specialist will maintain accurate records, assist with month-end close, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes. Collaboration with operations, purchasing, and finance teams is expected to support efficient fuel and product procurement activities. Qualifications Strong accounting and finance skills, including practical experience with Accounts Payable processes and journal entries. Ability to manage and process expense reports accurately and efficiently, with attention to compliance and documentation. Demonstrated analytical skills for reconciling accounts, identifying variances, and resolving billing or payment issues. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as intermediate Excel skills (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, reconciliations). Excellent organizational skills, time-management, and a high level of accuracy in a fast‑paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and cross‑functional teams. Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting; experience in distribution, logistics, or fuel industry is a plus.
