Phlebotomist Per Diem

Labcorp Phlebotomist – Lakewood, NJ Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lakewood, NJ. Work Schedule This is a casual/per diem position. Hours will be as needed, ranging from Monday to Friday 6:30 am–1:00 pm and rotating Saturdays 6:30 am–11:30 am. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour Benefits Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, interns, and temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan.
