Production Technician/Maintenance Technician - Daily OT

Atkinson, WI, US, 53538 Job Category: Manufacturing/ Operations Position Overview: As a Production Technician, you're a member of a production crew, reporting to a supervisor of an assigned production area. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. Candidate must be able to accommodate a rotating swing shift schedule. Our crews work 12.25 hour days; 3 days on/3 days off; rotates days to nights every nine weeks. Can line starts at 5:45 AM/PM and ends at 6:00 PM/AM. Your Key Responsibilities Include: Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc. Operate, adjust, and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals. Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications. Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity. Required Experience and Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent education. 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools. Preferred Experience and Skills: 2 years' work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Physical Environment and Working Conditions: May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to: Hot/Cold working conditions. Loud /Noisy environment. Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary). Compensation & Benefits: Starting Hourly Rate: $32.40 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.) . Onsite Work Environment: This position is based in Ft. Atkinson, WI and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site.
