Northern Lights Painting Co is looking for a bilingual HR Coordinator / Translator (Portuguese-English) to join our team in Stoneham, MA. This is a unique and vital role that bridges our workforce by supporting HR operations while ensuring clear, effective communication across our diverse team. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary Portuguese-English translator for employee communications, documents, and meetings Support day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, and employee recordkeeping Assist with recruiting efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews Act as a liaison between management and Portuguese-speaking employees to ensure clear communication Translate HR policies, safety guidelines, and training materials from English to Portuguese Help maintain compliance with employment laws and company HR policies Support payroll processing and timekeeping administration as needed Additional Human Resources tasks as needed Requirements: Fluent in both Portuguese and English (written and verbal) — required Fluency in Spanish is also helpful as a third language, but not required 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources OR business administration or management, or a related field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or HR software platforms Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Experience in the construction or trades industry is a plus, not required Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations is a plus, not required About Us: Northern Lights Painting Company is a trusted painting contractor serving the greater Boston area and New England, known for delivering high-quality residential painting services with professionalism and care.
