Director, Digital Asset & Brokerage Operations

Role Description
This role is position is for an experienced trading operations manager with automated trading and middle and back office experience. This includes:
- Leading our US spot exchange operations (Alpaca Crypto LLC)
- Leading our Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations (AlpacaX Crypto Limited)
- Building and maintaining our internal trading desk
Things You Get To Do:
- Build and manage a globally distributed team of trade ops associates providing 24/5 service coverage.
- Directly engage with our customers, providing a world-class service.
- Review, identify and resolve trade differences.
- Process trade corrections and cancellations.
- Inventory account reconciliation.
- Provide input into new procedures and processes as well as revisions to existing operations procedures and processes.
- Manage our trading desk (internal market maker) and work with engineering to build and monitor trading systems performing automated hedging strategies.
- Manage our global fiat banking relationships.
- Maintain relationships with liquidity providers, token projects and all our vendors.
- Assist with financial and regulatory audits.
- Work closely with engineering to bring industry-leading crypto products to market.
Qualifications
- Experienced running middle/back office trade operations for a brokerage or crypto exchange.
- Built and managed a globally distributed customer service focused team providing world-class 24/5 service coverage.
- Experience trading crypto professionally.
- Experience in US crypto regulations.
Requirements
- Quant research or have previously run a trading desk.
- Entrepreneurial experience as co-founder / founding team of a startup.
- Operated within a SOC 1/2 Type 2 certified environment.
