Data Analyst, Classification, Privacy, Security & RetentionTo be a primary first review of all data assets ingested into our MetaData collection platform, ensuring these assets are given an initial set of data classifications and privacy designations while also recording security and retention related information. Additionally, this role would involve the search for and entry of various other pieces of meta data information including definitions, descriptions, usage notes and calculations. In this job the candidate will work with the Data Privacy, Security and Governance team to ensure proper compliance with term standards and goals and to work with Business and Technical Owners to present, review and correct their data and other assets which have been targeted for inclusion in this program.QualificationsMandatory:5 or more years of data analysis experience.Experience classifying and identifying data for Privacy, Security, Retention or other relevant governing needs.Working knowledge of typical data classifications such as PII, PHI, Highly Sensitive, etc…Knowledge and use of typical data query tools using standard SQL.Knowledge and use of Excel.Working knowledge of Relational Database Concepts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Ability to move quickly, while ensuring proper organized work products are produced.Ability to shift quickly across different business segments and subject/domains of data.Ability to organize, structure and classify any and all kinds of data with minimal input or information.Ability to take direction, work independently and proactively provide feedback to the leads and teammates to resolve issues and conflicts.Preferred:Experience in Collibra meta-data management tool or other related toolsets.Ability to assist with maturing the Data Governance / Data Classification Program including weighing in on and helping develop any standards or other documentation necessary.Ability to plan, develop, implement and report of procedures for the current data classification monitoring and metrics program in either Collibra Dashboards and reports or in Tableau.Ability to think creatively about new ways to bring solutions into the team and a willingness to engage the team with new ways of thinking about problems and solutions.Working knowledge of Logical Data Modeling concepts such as ER Diagrams, i.e. how to read and interpret.Working knowledge of various aspects of security as it relates to Data Assets, including database security, row level security, encryption and masking.Ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level, i.e. conceptual understanding, detailed work products.Ability to produce visual and non-visual presentations as appropriate to present concepts, findings, and options to both business and technical audiences.Ability to understand data architecture classifications of data such as OLTP vs OLAP, Reference data, Transactional data.Working knowledge of data Retention concepts and ability to apply that knowledge to specific situations.
