Seasoned Caregiver
Demonstrate consistency, dependability, excellent communication, and strong client relationships.

Senior Caregiver
Take on more complex companion-care assignments, model best practices, and become a trusted team resource.

Mentor Caregiver
Support newer caregivers, help strengthen our culture, and serve as an example of what exceptional caregiving looks like.

Your growth should be based on what you demonstrate—not simply how long you’ve been around.

Depending on the client and care plan, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation

• Planning activities, hobbies, games, walks, and community outings

• Preparing simple meals and snacks

• Completing light housekeeping and laundry

• Running errands or assisting with grocery shopping

• Providing transportation to appointments and activities

• Offering medication reminders

• Supporting routines, organization, and household tasks

• Providing safety supervision and standby support

• Supporting adults experiencing memory loss or dementia

• Documenting visits and communicating important updates

• Helping clients remain socially connected and engaged

• Bringing calm, consistency, humor, patience, and genuine human connection into someone’s home

Please note: This is a non-medical companion-care position located in New Hartford, NY.

• Truly enjoy spending time with older adults and people who need support

• Understand that caregiving is about dignity—not control

• Are dependable, communicative, and honest

• Can work independently while still being part of a team

• Notice the small things and speak up when something seems different

• Respect every client’s home, preferences, culture, and routines

• Can be warm without crossing professional boundaries

You do not need to fit one specific “caregiver personality.” Quiet caregivers can be incredible. Talkative caregivers can be incredible. Retirees, parents, students, experienced professionals, and people beginning a new career may all have something valuable to offer.

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license when driving is required

• Be able to travel reliably to assigned clients

• Communicate clearly and professionally

• Use a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation

• Complete all required onboarding before beginning visits with clients

• Protect client privacy and maintain professional boundaries

• Be reliable—because clients and families plan their lives around our arrival

Previous caregiving, dementia-care, healthcare, hospitality, education, human-services, or customer-service experience is helpful, but the right character, judgment, and willingness to learn matter tremendously.
