Role Overview As a leasing consultant you will respond to inquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify potential renters. Your mission is to market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with company standards and Fair Housing guidelines while providing excellent customer service. You represent the company in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager. Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market, including competitor specials and floor plans. Apply comprehensive knowledge of leasing units and documents following company standards and Fair Housing guidelines. Process lease application paperwork for approval, prepare new lease contracts. Inspect target units in advance for tours and greet prospects with vacant or model units and common/amenity areas. Inspect pre‑leased apartments before move‑in dates and communicate concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager. Utilise and promote third‑party online leasing programs. Log prospect information and notifications accurately in the Property Management software. Check, respond to, and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages. Stay current with promotion and leasing incentives. Assist in completing the Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately within the specified deadline. Post notices to vacate and other community communications when required. Assist with daily community inspections to ensure policies are followed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous customer‑facing or customer‑service experience. Demonstrated sales and closing skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of people. Required by law: current state leasing license or ability to obtain required license(s) within the time frame defined by law. Work Schedule Monday‑Friday (schedule may vary). Overtime may be required, including extended hours and an on‑call or rotating on‑call schedule as needed.
