Position Summary Job ID #3538 Position Type: Administration/ Assistant Principal Date Posted: 4/29/2026 Location: Pleasantview Elementary School, Sauk Rapids, MN Closing Date: 05/22/2026 Primary Responsibilities Partner with the principal in carrying out the district's vision, mission and goals Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school; interpret and enforce school policies and procedures Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, staff development and evaluation of staff members Advocate for all students Supervise, monitor and support students with behavior and academic programming Facilitate staff, student, and parent/guardian meetings Support teachers in effective lesson plans and classroom preparation Create a positive school climate to establish a thriving learning culture Provide leadership in developing staff competencies to meet the diverse needs of students Partner with the principal in management of day-to-day operations of the school including, but not limited to, creating a master schedule, security/safety, plan and manage summer school and other student programs Outstanding Candidates Will Be Effective communicators with a focus on approachability and availability for students and staff Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers Collaborative with others by building positive relationships, valuing input, and working together to achieve shared goals Creative problem solvers with extraordinary relationship skills Innovative and able to promote and implement quality programs Motivating and positive with students, staff, and parents/guardians Capable of leading and supporting high-quality instruction by coaching staff, promoting growth, and maintaining a clear focus on student learning Able to provide leadership within the school, district and community A life‑long learner and positive role model Willing and able to work irregular hours Skilled at building trust through clear, timely, and respectful communication while listening and working effectively with others A team player who supports others, shares responsibility, and puts collective success first Required Qualifications Hold a current Minnesota teaching license Hold a current Minnesota Principal License or be currently enrolled in a Principal licensure program at an accredited university or college Preferred Qualifications Experience as an elementary teacher and/or administrator Hold a current Minnesota Teaching License with elementary education or K‑5 specialist Hold a Minnesota Teaching License with a Professional Administrative K‑12 Principal endorsement Contract Full‑time, 215‑day contract starting July 1 2026. Salary and Benefits Salary based on the 2024‑2026 Sauk Rapids‑Rice Principals' Association Agreement, starting at $104,218 up to $118,672.
