Assistant to the Associate Dean

Position Summary The primary purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to the SACD Vice Dean, faculty, staff and students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Vice Dean: manage calendar of appointments, student advising schedules, VABE and graduate application documents, and general office duties. Provide student support: maintain student records and graduation audits, respond to student questions and needs, assist in diploma distribution, manage work‑study students and process work‑study paperwork. Provide office and building support: greet SACD visitors, maintain classroom, studio, and conference room reservations, manage projector and equipment checkout, organize kitchenette/supply room and faculty work/mail/copy room, order office supplies, and provide building access to faculty, staff and students. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma. Experience: 6 months to 2 years. Physical Requirements Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping; occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds). Work Environment Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office. Salary/Pay Information Commensurate with experience. Anticipated Schedule Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Employee Benefits Medical: Three health plans with a large national provider network.
