Schedule Shift: Wednesday – Saturday, 2pm – 12:30am. Full time. Location 11801 SOUTH FWY, BURLESON, TX 76028. Job Responsibilities Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notify appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Educate patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. Position patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high‑quality imaging. Prepare and administer IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform and document daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time‑out procedures prior to starting exams. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Perform high‑quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety. Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies). Screen all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation. Operate all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of MRI procedures. Knowledge of MRI scanners. Learn and grow with new technology. Customer service skills. MRI safety. Basic IV skills. Work well in a constantly changing environment. Work flexibly in variable shifts, including weekends or holidays. Understand medical terminology. Communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their families, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals. Read, write and speak conversational English. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. General computer skills and PACS (preferred). General physics and anatomy (preferred). Experience/knowledge of computers/networking. Quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. Maintain responsibility for all hospital continuing and annual education. Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. Follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff. Perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Excellent customer service skills. Deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel. Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age‑appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization. Education High School Graduate or equivalent (Required). Associate’s Degree (Preferred). Work Experience 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program (Preferred). Licenses and Certifications American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (RT(MR)(ARRT)). Basic Life Support (BLS). Physical Requirements Physical requirements are available at Pay Range $29.60 - $55.05.
