Job Summary:Under general supervision, contacts insurance companies under representation of the physicians of the Medical Center. Obtain pre-certification for various testing and or therapy. Obtains necessary personal and medical information from Physician office on the patient for use in authorization. Performs computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to certification of patients.Department: Patient Access ServicesLocation: Englewood, NJStatus: Full-timeShift: DaysHours: 9a - 5pJob Essentials: Excellent interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to function independentlyClerical, data entry and some typing skills, including: Filing and record keepingAbility to work in fast fast-paced environmentFlexible and able to pay close attention to detailsAbility to complete needed tasks with speed accuracyKnowledge of CPT, ICD, HCPCS and/or drug codesEducation Requirements:HS Diploma or GED education or minimum 5 years’ experience in related field (if HS or GED prepared, a minimum of one year of experience is required)One or more years of related insurance experience in a healthcare facility or physician's office preferredEnglewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
