Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in a 20-bed stepdown/med-surg unit.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor.
• Care for patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain.
• Administer and titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and aminodarone.
• Collaborate with house supervisors and nursing aids for optimal patient care.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for detailed patient documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• Minimum one year of stepdown nursing experience required.
• Valid ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications.
• Proficiency in using CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow RT equipment.
• Experienced in remote telemetry and strip monitoring.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
