Registered Nurse In The Intensive Care Unit

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The shift is a night schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. A minimum of two years of ICU or CCU experience is required. Candidates must hold an active RN license and have BLS and ACLS certifications. NIHSS certification can be obtained after an offer is made, while CCRN is preferred. The role includes high-acuity patient care responsibilities. The nurse will be expected to manage ventilator patients and perform continuous IV sedation. Experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is essential. Every other weekend or two weekends per month commitment is expected. The nurse may float to other units within the facility as required. Travelers should note that requests for time off during major holidays will not be accommodated. All certifications must be current and not set to expire within 45 days of the start date. Candidates should begin renewal processes for certifications if needed. The position requires adherence to established policies and guidelines. Suitable candidates will possess the required experience and competencies for providing quality patient care in a critical environment.
