Infection Prevention Coordinator

Salary Estimate: $69,555.20 – $106,620.80 per year. Infection Prevention Coordinator Join HCA Healthcare at Swedish Medical Center as an Infection Prevention Coordinator. In this role, you will plan, organize, develop, and implement the infection prevention & control program, including surveillance, education, consultation, mandated reporting, and regulatory preparedness. You will manage hospital‑wide infection surveillance, prevention and control, and collaborate with other departments to ensure staff education on optimal infection prevention practices. Qualifications Current certification in Infection Prevention and Control is preferred; must obtain within six months of eligibility as defined by the Certified Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC). Current registration or license in Colorado as a registered nurse, medical technologist, or clinical laboratory scientist preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MSN, MPH, or other related master’s degree preferred. 2–4 years’ experience in a hospital setting required; 3 years of infection prevention and control experience preferred. Knowledge of hospital epidemiology principles, infectious diseases, sterilization, sanitation, and disinfection practices. Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and schedule accordingly. Team‑building, conflict resolution, and effective communication with personnel, patients, and physicians. Capability to develop educational and quality‑improvement policies and procedures. Travel Requirements No travel required.
