About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership and oversight. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the Executive Officer, guiding fiscal strategy, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role is pivotal in supporting housing and community-based programs, and the CFO will be responsible for financial management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and reporting. The CFO will also be a trusted advisor on matters affecting public housing, voucher programs, development activities, and affiliated properties. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a master’s degree preferred, and at least 5 years of executive-level leadership experience in a housing environment. The role requires a strong background in finance and administration, public housing, and various housing programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of US GAAP and GASB standards, as well as experience in affordable housing programs, including public housing, Housing Choice Voucher, tax credit properties, and mixed-finance development. The CFO will also be expected to lead management teams, direct complex projects, and maintain compliance with financial and program operations. Professional certifications in housing management are a plus, and the candidate must be willing to obtain them if not already certified.
