In this position, you will:

• Teach three inclusion classes, collaborating closely with general education teachers to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students
• Instruct two resource classes, delivering targeted support to students who need specialized instruction
• Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, providing individualized attention and fostering academic and social growth
• Have two prep periods each day to plan, organize, and prepare high-quality lessons and interventions
• Oversee development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough documentation and deliver regular progress monitoring
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, engaging families and multidisciplinary teams in the process
• Receive dedicated compliance and administrative support from a Special Education Case Manager, allowing you to focus on instruction and student growth

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with special education endorsements required
• Experience with high school-level special education and knowledge of current best practices in inclusion and resource instruction
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation procedures
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
