Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with middle school or early high school students (grades 7-9)
• Strong background in teaching or supporting math curriculum
• Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities when crafting individualized supports

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated math instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
• Assess student abilities, document growth, and update progress toward educational goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related services providers
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educational teams
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to ensure student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school-related activities as required
