Job Title Program Specialist IV (SharePoint Specialist) Organization TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE – Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) Location Barbara Jordan Building, 1601 Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701 (Work Locations) Employee Status Regular, Overtime Status: Exempt, Schedule: Monthly, Salary: $4,750.00 (Monthly) Job Summary Responsible for advanced SharePoint administration, business process analysis, and workflow development for DWC. Provides consultative services to programs, supports SharePoint site maintenance, and enhances SharePoint sites and workflow processes. Responsibilities Provide support for the development of SharePoint processes, including creation, management, and documentation of program area sites; recommend and obtain approval for process improvements. Assist DWC programs in developing or enhancing SharePoint team sites and business process workflows, reviewing current business processes and moving them into SharePoint environment. Assist with IT projects by recommending business, functional, and design requirements for SharePoint and legacy system replacements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited four‑year college or university with a degree related to the assignment. Minimum four years of experience in business process analysis, development, or policy assessment. Experience with SharePoint site creation, Power Automate workflow development, Power BI data visualization, and administration of user permissions. Regular work attendance and ability to substitute education and experience on a year‑for‑year basis. Demonstrated Knowledge State laws, rules and regulations relevant to job functions. Knowledge of local, state, federal laws linked to program area, public administration, budgeting, research, training, marketing, and program management. Skill in identifying performance indicators and use of applicable software. Ability to gather, analyze, and devise solutions to problems; develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures; communicate effectively; and provide guidance. Demonstrated Skill Problem solving and critical thinking. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Use of PCs for data entry and extraction from systems such as CAPPS and other required systems. Business analysis methodologies. Evaluation of complex IT applications, policies, and issues. Developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems. Demonstrated Ability Effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Maintain confidentiality. Self‑directed problem solving and multi‑tasking to meet deadlines. Team player and independent worker. Maintain a valid driver's license if required.
