Job Description
Nursing - Emergency Department

Schedule

12-hour shifts with rotations between day and night. Must be flexible with floating to various areas. Required to work 2 weekends per schedule period.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 48
Contract Weeks: 14

Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 Emergency Department experience.
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active/unexpired).
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC is preferred.
• Critical care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting.
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in patient care.
