Job Description
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full time Tax Associate to join our team, specializing in preparing various tax returns. During tax season additional hours may be required. This role offers a hybrid work environment after training, with two work-from-home days per week. The ideal candidate will bring 1-2 years of tax preparation experience, proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax software, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online. Reporting to the Senior Tax Associate, this position involves minimal client contact and emphasizes accuracy and efficiency in tax compliance and record-keeping.
Office Location: Missouri City, TX
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review various tax returns accurately
- Consult with clients to gather necessary financial information
- Utilize tax software efficiently, primarily CCH Axcess Tax
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Enter data and maintain organized client records
- Complete required training to maintain up-to-date knowledge
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in tax preparation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of 1040 tax preparation
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
