Compliance Manager Full Time Managers, All Other San Antonio, TX, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 5406 Experience The EMBREY Way by joining our dynamic Finance team as a Compliance Manager! The Compliance Manager owns the administration and monitoring of EMBREY's enterprise vendor and subcontractor insurance and compliance program across EMBREY Development Co (EDC) and EMBREY Management Services (EMS). This role coordinates resolution of deficiencies, supports prequalification and contractual risk-management processes, maintains compliance reporting, and partners with internal teams to ensure compliance requirements are satisfied throughout the vendor and subcontractor lifecycle. Responsibilities Own and continuously improve the enterprise vendor and subcontractor compliance program across Construction, EMS, Development, and Corporate Services. Serve as the primary Risk Management liaison to internal teams regarding vendor and subcontractor compliance requirements, standards, and risk concerns. Partner with internal teams to support vendor and subcontractor prequalification and identify material compliance or risk concerns. Maintain and recommend updates to vendor and subcontractor compliance policies, procedures, and standards based on business and contractual requirements. Identify opportunities to standardize, automate and improve compliance processes, reporting and third-party compliance platforms. Design and evolve the compliance reporting framework to surface trends, recurring deficiencies, material exceptions, and areas of elevated risk; escape significant issues and recommend resolution to the Director of Risk Management. Manage day-to-day vendor and subcontractor insurance and compliance requirements, including onboarding and ongoing monitoring. Review insurance, licensing, bonding, and other required compliance documentation against contractual requirements. Identify deficiencies and coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, insurance agents/brokers, and internal teams to obtain compliant documentation. Monitor expirations and renewals and maintain accurate compliance records throughout the vendor/subcontractor relationship. Coordinate with project and internal teams to confirm required compliance is satisfied prior to mobilization and, where applicable, payment. Administer compliance systems, including BCS and Yardi VendorShield, and serve as the primary point of contact for system-related compliance matters. Document approved exceptions and escalated requests requiring Risk Management or other appropriate approval. Prepare recurring compliance reports covering outstanding deficiencies, expirations, exceptions, and aging items. Participate in pre-construction meetings for applicable projects and respond to vendor, subcontractor, and internal-team compliance questions. Support Risk Management projects and special assignments as needed (e.g., certificate-of-insurance audits, policy renewals, claims-related documentation). Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field 5+ years’ experience in the Insurance industry or Related Field Broad knowledge of each line of coverage Previous work in a Risk Management department, Compliance department, brokerage firm, or insurance company Knowledge of Federal and State contract laws and requirements Knowledge of insurance lines and bonding requirements on public projects and development agreements Knowledge of insurance lines of coverage – General Liability, Excess/Umbrella Liability, Auto Liability, Workers' Compensation, Professional Liability, and Pollution Insurance Experience with Microsoft Office Experience with Procore, Yardi, VendorShield, and Business Credentialing Service preferred Required Testing Criminal and Civil Background Check, Credit Check, Non-DOT Testing, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Position Type Full-time Fully in-office Competitive pay & benefits (including healthcare & 401k) Position Location Headquarters in San Antonio, TX Choose EMBREY: Join an industry-leading team where we believe our people are our most important investment.
