Job Summary:

The Recreational Therapist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs that promote social, emotional, physical, educational, and spiritual well-being for patients and residents. This role aims to enhance their dignity, independence, and overall quality of life through meaningful therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Design and coordinate comprehensive activity programs tailored to meet individual patient and resident needs.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient and resident capabilities, preferences, and needs to develop personalized activity plans.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, implementing improvements as needed.
  
  
• 
  Manage program budgets, oversee resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective delivery of services.
  
  
• 
  Supervise and train staff and volunteers involved in activity programs.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate documentation of activities and progress.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least three years of experience as an Activities Coordinator or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, treatment procedures, and therapeutic activity planning.
  
  
• 
  Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Workers.
  
  
• 
  Must have a valid drivers license.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to lead and train a team effectively.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
