Production Assemblers

Overview Join P&G Steel Products Co Inc in Buffalo, New York, as a full‑time Production Assembler. This onsite role provides hands‑on experience in manufacturing high‑quality steel products. Responsibilities Study assembly instructions, blueprints, or parts lists and gather parts, sub‑assemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and sub‑assemblies using templates or measurement readings. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tapes, rulers, and pressure gauges. Assemble components, checking connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub‑assemblies. Perform visual inspection of raw materials and product assemblies using magnifiers or microscopes. Verify specifications by measuring completed components. Use grinding equipment to ensure proper tolerance and finish. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies judiciously. Contribute to team effort to accomplish related results as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED; three to six months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret electronic/hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and engineering or weld drawings (a plus). Clear understanding of basic math, including fractions and decimals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Manual dexterity, good hand‑eye coordination, and ability to work under pressure. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform repetitive hand movements, bending, reaching, and standing throughout a shift. Adequate hearing, speaking, and vision for job duties.
