Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - 3rd Shift

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I for third-shift work (Tues-Fri, 10p-7:30am) performing moderate to highly complex laboratory testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance on clinical specimens. The role involves troubleshooting, staff mentoring, and validation of new procedures within a regulated diagnostics environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory supplies inventory, and identify problems affecting test performance
• Mentor new laboratory personnel, participate in equipment validation, and manage daily test processing
• Maintain quality standards, communicate findings to management, and participate in quality assurance activities

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• Minimum 60 semester hours including 24 hours medical laboratory technology or science coursework
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science preferred
• Experience with molecular biology techniques and principles preferred

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
