Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - 3rd Shift

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform moderate to highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens during third shift (Tuesday-Friday, 10pm-7:30am). The role includes specimen processing, quality assurance documentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting within established laboratory protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses per standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and maintain laboratory equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Prepare reagents and manage inventory of laboratory supplies for daily operations
• Mentor new laboratory personnel and participate in validation of new equipment and procedures as needed

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• Minimum 60 semester hours including 24 hours in medical laboratory technology or relevant science coursework
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work varied postures (seated 50%, standing 50%)
• Demonstrated competency performing essential duties with or without accommodation

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
