Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - 3rd Shift

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I for its Madison diagnostics laboratory to perform moderate and highly complex testing on clinical specimens. The role involves specimen processing, quality assurance documentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting under laboratory medical director oversight. Third shift position (Tuesday–Friday, 10 p.m.–7:30 a.m.).

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses according to established standard operating procedures
• Execute, review, and document quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supply inventory for daily operations
• Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Mentor new personnel, validate new equipment and procedures, and maintain quality standards

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• Minimum 60 semester hours including 24 in medical laboratory technology or science courses with specified chemistry and biology requirements
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology (preferred)

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
