Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Cardiac Surgical ICU/CSU position requiring 2 years of recent CVICU experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), a 4-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care,
• Provide post-operative recovery care and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring,
• Also support the Cardiac Surgical Unit (CSU), an 8-bed stepdown unit for patients recovering from cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery,
• Both units are supported by a dedicated cardiovascular educator,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend required,
• Every holiday required,
• Willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed,
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week,
• Uses Meditech EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license for the State of Alabama or compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted),
• Associate degree in nursing required,
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required,
• Current AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
• AHA PALS certification preferred if working in a pediatric unit,
• 2 years of recent experience required, including 1 year of recent experience within the CVICU specialty,
