A Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and food items for cooks and chefs to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This role involves measuring, chopping, slicing, mixing, and storing ingredients while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items.
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
Label, date, and properly store food products.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, and food processors.
Assist line cooks and chefs with food preparation during service.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
Dispose of waste properly and assist with kitchen cleaning duties.
Receive and stock deliveries as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:
Fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment
Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
Shift: Ranch (3 days / week) and Lodge (2 days / week) facility
10am - 6pm
