You will be working for Geek Powered Studios, an award-winning digital-marketing agency based in Austin, TX, specialized in Home Services and Healthcare — think HVAC, plumbing, roofing, dentists, LASIK centers, and medical clinics. They are ROI-obsessed, focused on revenue and leads rather than vanity metrics, and take a holistic approach to SEO: technical, on-page, off-page, local, and content — tailored to each client.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

• Run full SEO audits for client websites — find problems, build solutions, and track results
• Do keyword research and build content strategies based on search intent, competition, and SERP behavior
• Implement on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and content optimization
• Handle technical SEO: site speed, schema markup, structured data, XML sitemaps, 301 redirects, crawl errors, and indexing issues
• Build and manage local SEO strategies: Google Business Profile optimization, citation management, NAP consistency, and location pages
• Execute link-building campaigns: outreach, link auditing, and acquiring high-quality backlinks
• Write or optimize SEO content — blog posts, landing pages, and service pages that rank and convert
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to improve SEO workflows, from content ideation to keyword clustering
• Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, and Ahrefs
• Deliver clear performance reports to account managers and participate in client communication when needed
• Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI search trends, and emerging SEO tools and methods

Skills You Have

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results: traffic growth, ranking improvements, and lead generation
• Technical SEO expertise: site speed, schema, crawl audits, indexing, and URL structure — Screaming Frog is second nature
• Strong on-page SEO skills: keyword optimization, content structure, meta tags, and internal linking
• Local SEO experience: Google Business Profile, citations, location pages, and map pack rankings
• Link-building experience: outreach, auditing, and building quality backlinks that move rankings
• Daily proficiency in Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
• Active use of AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini for keyword research and content optimization
• HTML/CSS basics: enough to make on-page changes and troubleshoot code issues with developers
• Analytical mindset — you make decisions based on data and can spot opportunities in reports
• Advanced English — written and spoken, including client-facing communication

Skills That Will Make You Stand Out

• Agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Background in Home Services or Healthcare SEO
• Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, or WordPress development
• Experience with heatmap tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
• CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) experience
• Experience optimizing for AI/LLM search platforms such as Perplexity or SearchGPT
