Environmental Services Manager

A leading senior living community is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager to oversee daily housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, infection control, and resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong team management, organizational, and operational skills who can foster a positive work environment while ensuring efficient department operations. Responsibilities Oversee daily Environmental Services operations, including housekeeping, laundry, and floor care. Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate department staff across multiple shifts. Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet cleanliness, safety, and service standards. Develop and manage routine, periodic, and deep-cleaning schedules. Establish and enforce departmental procedures, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Train staff on infection control, PPE, workplace safety, and emergency procedures. Manage departmental budgets, expenses, inventory, equipment, and supplies. Conduct quality inspections and address service concerns to maintain a clean and safe environment. Collaborate with Nursing, Facilities, and other departments to support resident needs and operational efficiency. Respond professionally to resident and family concerns while promoting excellent customer service. Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Requirements Previous supervisory or management experience in Environmental Services, housekeeping, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related field. Experience overseeing housekeeping, laundry, floor care, or similar operations. Knowledge of infection control, PPE, workplace safety, and cleaning standards. Experience with staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and development. Strong budgeting, inventory management, and expense control skills. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to resident satisfaction, cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, residents, families, and department leadership.
