Position SummaryAdvanced Surgical Center, a growing 3-room ambulatory surgery center in Las Vegas, is seeking a dependable and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team on a per diem/PRN basis. The Surgical Technologist will play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care throughout the perioperative process. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures, including equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterile fieldsPerform surgical scrub and maintain strict sterile technique throughout proceduresAssist with surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical teamAnticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during proceduresAssist with patient positioning, skin preparation, draping, and other surgical preparation as directedPerform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, sharps, and other supplies in accordance with facility policyMaintain a safe and organized sterile field throughout surgical proceduresAssist with room turnover, cleaning, restocking, and preparation for subsequent casesEnsure surgical instruments and equipment are properly handled, cleaned, and transported for sterilizationVerify availability and functionality of surgical equipment, supplies, and implants prior to proceduresAssist with specimen handling, identification, labeling, and transfer according to facility policySupport pre-operative and post-operative workflows as neededFollow infection prevention, OSHA, HIPAA, and patient safety standards at all timesMaintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and suppliesCommunicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the surgical teamProvide professional, respectful, and compassionate care to patients while maintaining patient privacy and dignityPerform other duties within the scope of practice as assignedQualificationsCurrent Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum of one (1) year of surgical technologist experience preferredAmbulatory surgery center, outpatient, or procedural experience strongly preferredExperience with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, surgical counts, and room turnoverStrong knowledge of infection prevention and sterile processing principlesExcellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsAbility to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyAbility to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical teamAdditional InformationPer diem/PRN position with scheduling based on case volume and staffing needsSupporting a 3-room ambulatory surgery centerNo nights, weekends, or major holidaysOpportunity to work closely with a collaborative, patient-focused surgical teamCompetitive PRN compensation based on experience and qualificationsIdeal opportunity for an experienced CST seeking a flexible outpatient surgical schedule
