Staff Accountant
$35 - $40 per hourThe Choice
The Choice is seeking a Staff Accountant for our trade association client. This is an immediate need through at least mid-October, with long-term hiring needs currently being evaluated. We are interested in candidates who are available for a possible extension or permanent roles in the future.
- Location: Arlington, within walking distance of the Metro (Orange Line)
- Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Work Environment: This role is fully onsite and will work in the office five days per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Compensation: $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, particularly in accounts payable, invoice coding, weekly check runs, cash receipts, bank and account reconciliations, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, and basic month-end accounting
- Previous experience with NetSuite is required
- Strong Excel skills
- Professional, organized, responsive, and highly detail-oriented
Job Duties The Staff Accountant will provide hands-on accounting support, with a particular focus on accounts payable. Responsibilities include invoice review and coding, weekly check runs, cash receipts processing, account reconciliations, month-end account analysis, and other general accounting duties as needed
